Tunduru District Council Volunteer Jobs 2026
Tunduru District Council has announced 27 volunteer job opportunities for qualified Tanzanian applicants. The vacancies are for Garbage Loaders and Cleaners/Sweepers in various areas within Tunduru District Council.
The announcement was issued by the Executive Director of Tunduru District Council under Reference No. TDC.N.10/47/03, dated 17 September 2026.
1. Garbage Loader – 12 Posts
Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years.
- Be of sound mind.
- Be honest and have good moral conduct.
- Be physically fit and able to perform the required duties.
- Be hardworking, committed, and responsible.
- Both male and female applicants are encouraged to apply.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful applicants will:
- Load garbage from waste collection points and streets.
- Help keep waste collection areas clean.
- Perform other duties related to environmental cleanliness as assigned by the employer.
Payment
Selected Garbage Loaders will receive a monthly allowance of TZS 170,000.
2. Cleaner/Sweeper – 15 Posts
Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years.
- Be of sound mind.
- Be honest and have good moral conduct.
- Be physically fit and able to perform the required duties.
- Be hardworking, committed, and responsible.
- Both male and female applicants are encouraged to apply.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful applicants will:
- Sweep and clean various areas assigned by the employer.
- Collect waste generated from sweeping activities.
- Ensure that assigned areas remain clean.
- Perform other duties related to environmental cleanliness as assigned by the employer.
Payment
Selected Cleaners/Sweepers will receive a monthly allowance of TZS 160,000.
General Application Requirements
All applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen aged between 18 and 45 years.
- Applications must be submitted through the Village Executive Officer (Mtendaji wa Kijiji) of the applicant's respective village.
- Applicants must attach two recent passport-size photographs.
- Application letters must be written in Swahili.
- Applicants shortlisted for an interview will be informed of the interview date.
- Applications that do not meet the stated requirements will not be considered.
- Applicants must provide reliable contact information.
- Applicants must be residents of Tunduru District Council.
